to our Cavalcade Tour Fundraiser last month in July!
We are so lucky to have a supporter like Kevin to open the doors to his authentic and unique private exhibit in benefit of Sanilac County Historical Society!
If you missed this rare opportunity, Kevin plans to open his doors again next year! Stay tuned later this year for us to announce the special date in 2027 that you may access behind the glass windows of the retired Ben Franklin Department store and witness the Cavalcade of Food Studio in Croswell.

North Branch — discover the stories of Michigan’s Thumb!

Echoes of Sanilac: Exploring the History of Michigan’s Thumb is now on display at North Branch Library through September 8!

Created by the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum, this traveling exhibit explores the people, places, industries, disasters, and defining moments that helped shape Michigan’s Thumb — and how that history continues to influence our communities today.

📍 North Branch Library
3714 Huron St., North Branch, MI 48461
📅 September 1–8, 2026

If you’re in North Branch, Lapeer County, or the surrounding Thumb area, stop in during library hours and take a walk through our region’s history.

We’re excited to see Echoes of Sanilac traveling beyond Sanilac County and sharing the story of the Thumb with new communities!
