A new Tattoo show , 'Best INk" Umm please tell me this is a joke? Haven't we had enough fake tattoo shows? We're in this industry to set ourselves apart one piece of art at a time. But we keep taking a step back with every trendy wanna be tattoo show that gets aired. Let's take the commercial out of the industry and get back to basics for a minute. Education is key and were loosing that education in the viewers who watch these shows. No one touches base on the cleaning practices or the morality of placement and design. There was good intentions to broaden the art form but something got lost in production value. Instead of re creating something played out , and if we must have TV related shows.... Why don't we make a "real" show. Follow a "real" apprentice around in a "real" shop. Maybe then we can get rid of the kitchen magicians who watch one episode and decide there tattoo artists. Show the viewers and collectors that there is more to our industry than scribbling on friends to learn something. Responsibility is key. You can't do something for an industry with out knowing everything about it. Think before you cast and wonder if this is really going to Benefit us as a community.
