NEWS:
Verum Ultimum is moving and during the transition Verum's strong virtual presence will be in full force with new exhibitions, the newly acquired virtual galleries, social media fanfare, new calls for art, and blogposts. "I extend a heartfelt thank you to my Concordia neighbors for sharing my enthusiasm for great art exhibitions. Together we enjoyed the works of over 1000 artists, more than

50 exhibitions, great musicians, and epic events. This is not a goodbye because I know your steady gaze will remain and track us as we land in our new space (and spaces*)." Jennifer

Some say, “it’s in the little things,” and artist Morgan Curtis takes us there as he zooms in on small everyday items that go largely unnoticed. He sets them in a heroic stage. There’s a delicate quality to his brushwork (as if seen through a veil).

Emotion resonates from these expressive works. These 3 artists tap into the depth to reveal the waves that crash under the surface…delivering seas of stories (ripe for the picking)!

Details will be in stories then highlights 🙏

Today’s feature is alive with expression. The effervescent, maximalist abundance, and joy that Elaine Dunham delivers with her brush…astounding!

In her words…
LITTLE LIVE THINGS
What power and beauty lie in the tiniest components of life.
Genes, germs, and grand plans.
Stunning arrangements.
Mysteries to most of us.

Artist Katie Zesiger cuts shapes from the negative space (born of physical form). This is a masterful-figurative point of view! The sensuousness of the body (as land) with mounds and folds (golden and warm)…like honey! And look closely to find the magical bee-ing in the fold. Did you spot it?

A truly lovely perspective and a lovely piece that is both fierce and frail (and of beings, beasts, and seed).

Sometimes it feels as if the sun is setting on nature as we know it and the light we are most familiar with emanates from screens. Today’s trio contains excerpts from a recent blogpost where Fierce & Frail III artist reveal what’s behind their haunting imagery. I am spellbound by these works…enjoy!

Today’s haunting duo takes us beyond the veil to unseen realms. Both artists create a dynamic and dramatic stage for the theater of the imagination. These fantastical expressions bring a bit of spellbinding mystery into the fold, enjoy!

It’s Thursday and it feels like time to stretch, rise, and reach. To celebrate the fierce and the frail…the art created by hand and this trio of artists that honor the expanse of arms, the spread of wings, and the unfolding of a visual story. They each employ unforgettable characters with incredible reach to draw us into the mystery and it’s so hard to look away!

Details will be in stories, then highlights, and thank you wholeheartedly 🙏🥳

Today’s elegant trio plays with scale and shakes the foundation of what we might expect. Surprising twists of size and material include Damia Smith’s larger than life earrings (8 feet high), Ian Shelly’s tiny stoneware house encased in a vise of wood, and Pati Hays’ “Rooted Conundrum,” materially rich collagraph.

Details will be in stories, then highlights.
