The Arizona Wine Country Artists Village showcases talented local and regional artists, fine-crafters, and their work. Conveniently located within easy walking-distance of over a dozen restaurants, ten wine-tasting rooms, a brewery, shops, galleries, and lodging.

This was a fun one to paint, based on a grainy photo we took on our honeymoon in Yosemite in 2015. At the suggestion of an artist friend, I did my underpainting much darker than usual to make the bright highlighted face of Half Dome really stand out. She was right! Might have to paint this again a bit larger…

A bit of the fun inspiration behind these two new Grand Canyon paintings, an 18”x24” and an 11”x14” oil- they don’t have names yet so ideas are welcomed. Also, a big thanks to my good buddy and talented artist Meg Goodyear for her helpful feedback on shadow angles :)
