Did you know that there used to be a hotel on the Meighen's Front Lawn?

The depression in the ground marks the spot where the Fremont House Hotel stood in Forestville between 1857 &1878. The Fremont was where many visitors to Forestville would stay including Governor Ignatious Donnoly, Bishop John Ireland, and orator William Jennings Bryant.
