What is your picnic personality? 🧺

🦋 THE SOCIAL BUTTERFLY
You’re floating from blanket to blanket, swapping snacks, learning names, and starting impromptu games. Your picnic personality trait is “friend to all.”

🎨 THE CREATIVE
Your picnic blanket is also your studio. you brought markers, a half-finished sketchbook, an embroidery project, and creative buddies. Your snacks are aesthetically pleasing, even if they’re just berries and chips. Strangers will ask where you got your tote bag.

⏰ THE PROCRASTINATOR
You remembered THE BIG SIT approximately 14 minutes ago and your meal came from the nearest takeout spot. Somehow though, you always end up having the best time. Chaotic. Lovable. Thriving.

💌 THE ROMANTIC
You packed sparkling cider in real glasses and a suspicious amount of strawberries. You believe every picnic should include lingering conversation, soft music, and the possibility of falling in love. Brought a linen napkin to impress your date with your attention to detail.

🍎 THE MINIMALIST
One perfectly packed snack. one good book. one emotional support water. You came to sit quietly, recharge in the sunshine, and maybe people-watch a little. Honestly? Your setup is enviably calm.

Whether you’re bringing a carefully curated charcuterie spread or grabbing takeout on the way, there’s room for everyone on Princeton’s biggest picnic blanket.

THE BIG SIT: Not Your Average Picnic | Community Park South | Saturday, June 6 | 12–3pm | Free and all are welcome

'Evans started brainstorming with ACP Director of Programming and Events Melissa Kuscin. Checking out some old posters from the 1970s that ACP Executive Director Adam Welch had framed and hung on the walls, one in particular sparked their interest.

“It was about kite-flying and a picnic,” Evans said. “That gave us the idea to make an art-inspired picnic. Melissa did some digging, and looked into some other cities, where she found out that they do big picnics in downtown parks. We started looking at the parks in Princeton.”'

"Just when you thought you'd have to wait until next spring, there's a new date for the popular event.

I have to say, Princeton Porchfest 2026 with fall vibes (pumpkins, mums, scarecrows, cornstalks) everywhere sounds wonderful to me. I can't wait. It will be a great day to listen to awesome music and wander around charming town."
