Captain Treasure Blackbeard inherited his last name, but none of the treasure his first name might suggest that he has. The Blackbeard name comes with a reputation to uphold, and his ancestors have done their part well. Times are changing though, and piracy is much more difficult when your family has vowed not to use violence. Although stealing from a dead man is a seemingly victimless crime, Captain Blackbeard would never steal from Mr. Bean. He simply wants to see the golden beans for research purposes...

Poseidon is the legendary Greek god of the sea, known for watching over seafarers, his love of horses, and his killer hang ten. He claims that Monte L. Bean himself asked Poseidon to watch over the golden beans before died. Poseidon may have felt responsible for the beans at first but money for a new surf board is a tempting prospect….

While Captain Hack might not be what you first think of when you hear the word pirate, his skills in taking things that aren’t his are downright impressive. Meet our suspects for this semester’s Mystery Dinner Night!

Anne Bonny is one of the most feared pirates in the Caribbean. Known for her temper and slippery tongue, she is willing to do anything it takes to get her hands on some treasure. She’s even willing to risk the life of her unborn child. That is, if the child even exists at all …

Known for her bravery and ruthlessness, Mary Read sailed the seas with Anne Bonny disguised as a man. She certainly has the skills to have stolen the beans; she has a prolific resume as a privateer and foot soldier in the military prior to joining Calico Jack. While the men may run and hide, it would take more than a curse to deter her from stealing gold.

When mastermind Capt. James Hook was hospitalized after he got brutally attacked by a crocodile for the 7th time, it was thought to be the last time his name would be whispered across the seven seas. However, his son, “Captain” James Hook Jr., frequently neglected in favor of his father’s visits to Neverland, has stepped up after his father’s recent hospitalization. Could he have stolen the beans as a bid for his father’s attention? Or is he just a pawn in his father’s game?
