Monthly art shows promoting work from from various disciplines of art, first show in February! Check back soon for more information as the launch gets closer! A mission statement for the Footlight here in Ridgewood ; to optimally use this event space in the never-ending pursuit of personal meaning and entertainment. To inspire future craftsmanship of any kind to all that may pass for any reason. T

o bring a sense of comfort and instill a broader interest in furthering communal art. To bring together all who aspire to create and share their work with people who may not have otherwise had access to it. And finally, to have a safe space in the artist community for free expression unbound by race, sexuality, or gender. We ask you to enter the space with a clear mind and heart in order to fully attempt to understand the creator's point of view, and/or, to eventually be the one on the inspiring side in this area.

Hello everyone,

Officially, the spring submission show is postponed for the moment. When NY allows bars and venues open again, we'll pick a new date! In the meantime, please continue to make art and support artists in this time, as well as The Footlight.

Hello all!

Just wanted to pop in to say that The Footlight announced they are taking precautions and closing temporarily for public safety due to COVID19. Because of this, it is unclear if we can have our submission show on April 9th.

Even though it is next month, we do not know exactly when we will be able to continue promoting the event, or have it on time. Please follow the page for updates, as a formal announcement on the submission show will be posted soon. In the event the opening is postponed, it will be rescheduled for a later date. Let's all try to be safe during this time! Thank you!!
