This weekend, stop by and visit the Ima Hogg and Honeymoon Cottage museums at Gov. Jim Hogg City Park in Quitman TX.

Hours are: Wednesday - Friday 10 - 3 and Saturday - Sunday 1 - 3:30 p.m.

Miss Ima, known as "The First Lady of Texas," was born on July 10, 1882, in Mineola, Wood, Texas, to James Stephen Hogg, who later became the first native-born governor of Texas, and Sarah "Sallie" Stinson Hogg. Her unusual first name was derived from a character in a poem written by her uncle.
