BugFest 2025 was one for the books — more than 25,000 visitors joined us downtown to celebrate the fascinating world of arthropods! From hands-on exhibits to tasty treats and live performances, it was a day buzzing with excitement.

A big shoutout to BASF for their major support, with additional support from Murphy’s Naturals, Syngenta, Wegmans, Carter Bank, and Janice Swab. In-kind support was provided by Armstrong’s Cricket Farm Georgia, Pepsi Bottling Ventures, and Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton-Downtown Raleigh.

More than 500 of you signed up with the Friends of the Museum to rep Acro on the road, so our Museum plates are officially a go. Each dino-decked tag helps support science education, exhibits, and programs that spark curiosity across the state & beyond.

Note: Please allow 3 months to receive your new plate in the mail. For anyone who wants to get in on the fun & order an NCMNS plate of their own, an option to do so will be available on the DMV website after the initial 500 plates are processed and mailed.
