RAL members, are you taking advantage of the Member Sales Gallery this summer? Take advantage of the peak influx of visitors during the warmer months and display your artwork for all those who pass through our galleries! This ever-changing space features original work by RAL members, giving visitors the chance to discover and collect hand-crafted art.

📝Those interested or already RAL members who would like to display their work in the Member Sales Gallery can visit the front desk to pick up an updated membership sales contract and get started.

COMING UP AT RAL: Gallery Talk: From the Awards Judge with Deb Appleby!

Join the Rehoboth Art League for a conversation with awards judge for the 53rd Annual Members' Fine Craft Exhibition, Deb Appleby, who will discuss her award selections and other notable pieces.

Deb Appleby is a glassblower, designer, and maker originally based in Lewes, Delaware. She founded The Studio on 24 in 1999 as a functional production blown-glass craft business and gallery. She specializes in traditional, functional production glassware and unique commission work, emphasizing structure, balance, and enduring usability. In the mid-2000s, her studio shifted to private and commercial contracts focused on functional craftsmanship. Her recent focus has been large-scale private commissions in the U.S. and overseas.

COMING UP AT RAL!

The Rehoboth Art League is excited to present the 53rd Annual Members' Fine Craft Exhibition by RAL Member Artists from June 12 - July 12.

All members of the Rehoboth Art League were invited to participate in this popular non-juried craft exhibition that showcases a wide variety of imaginative fine crafts that are unique, whimsical, and functional, including: baskets, ceramics, fiber, glass, handmade paper, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, and wood. Awards are given for outstanding works. This year's Awards Judge is Deborah Appleby.a

On the evening of June 12th, from 5-7 pm, the ArtLeague will host a free opening reception for this exciting exhibition in the Corkran and Tubbs Galleries, inviting anyone interested to see this new show.

🏖️Memorial Day Weekend is THIS WEEKEND! Which marks the unofficial start of the summer season and means exciting beach adventures ahead!

☀️Looking to get away from the crowds and experience the beauty of nature in a peaceful environment? The Rehoboth Art League sits on a 3.5-acre campus in Henlopen Acres, just minutes from the beach, and is full of art, history, blooming gardens, and more.

🚙When you arrive on campus and park in the free parking lot, head to the Corkran and Tubbs Galleries at the bottom of the hill to view “Mapping the Liminality—East and West: Presented by the Han-Mee Artists Association of Greater Washington” through June 7. When you’re finished viewing the art, ask the Gallery Associate for a scavenger hunt and head up the hill!

🏡Next, stop at the historic Peter Marsh Homestead, built in 1743, where you can view “Between the Lines and Beyond the Frame,” an exhibition by longtime Rehoboth Art League artist Dolores Andrew. After viewing the exhibition and walking through the historic home, head to the outdoor Garden and Grounds, where you can find all the items mentioned on the scavenger hunt! Enjoy the blissful environment for the perfect busy beach day getaway.
