The lease with the City of Renton has expired and it's with mixed emotions that I'll be closing the doors to the Black River Cultural Arts Center.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to use the space over the past year, and the many connections I made during my time here. Thank you to all those who regularly attended events and supported our efforts to bring Native arts and culture BACK to Renton. Unfortunately things didn't work out as planned and the city has decided to go in another direction with the use of the space.

While the doors are closing to the storefront, my business(crenativedesignz.com) will continue to operate as normal, but will be moving to online sales only. Please follow my socials to keep up with what we're doing.

I'm a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason" and operating a storefront/community space(by myself) took up a lot of my creative time. So I'm looking forward to getting back to creating art for 2025...stay tuned!

Come learn about Native art and create your own! This Tuesday, August 6th from 2-3pm come learn about the traditional art form of the Pacific Northwest Native people while creating formline art, wooden paddle necklaces, and coloring!
