Richfield Historical Society Our Mission is to save and share the history of Richfield, WI

The mission of the Richfield Historical Society is to discover, collect, preserve and promote the history of the Village of Richfield. The 29-acre Richfield Historical Park, owned by the Village of Richfield and managed by the Richfield Historical Society, has seen vast development in restoration, refurbishing and expansion of the buildings on site. The site was placed on the State Register of Historic Places in 2006 and on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. Social and fund-raising activities as well as several educational programs for all ages sponsored by the Society provide opportunities for the community to enjoy local events and become more aware of the history of the Richfield community. With the continued corroboration of the Village Board and the community, the Society continues to be a vital, energetic and growing organization in the Village.

Did you attend a one-room school? If you did, plan to attend the Richfield Historical Society program on Thursday, October 22, 2026 (7 pm) to bring back memories. If you didn't, plan to attend to learn more about these schools from long ago. Susan Apps Bodilly, a well-known author and speaker, will share her knowledge on this memorable topic. Everyone welcome.
