Agecroft Hall Agecroft Hall & Gardens is a 23-acre estate featuring a Tudor manor house originally built c. 1500 in England and transported to Richmond in the 1920s.

Now a museum, the house and gardens are open to public with tours and events offered year-round. Hours:
Gardens - Noon to 5:00pm
House (self-guided tours) - Noon to 5:00pm with last admission at 4:00pm

We are all fools in love.

Agecroft Hall & Gardens and Good For Her are back for another outdoor movie event to celebrate Agecroft’s 100th birthday.

On Saturday, November 7th, join us on the Back Lawn for a Regency-era romance. We’ll be screening 2005’s film adaptation of “Pride & Prejudice” starring Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet and Matthew Macfadyen as Mr. Darcy.

The court will come to order! The court of Queen Elizabeth I, that is.

On Friday, November 13 from 7-9pm, travel back in time as the Richmond Renaissance Dancers present an evening of elegant court dance inside the Williams Room of Agecroft Hall!

Dancers will showcase the majesty and elegance of court dancing from the perspective of Queen Elizabeth I and her courtiers. Witness English almans and country dances, French branles, and Italian balli and cascarde -- all part of the Elizabethan court repertoire.

Linda Macdonald, portraying Queen Elizabeth, will provide informative narrative and historical background by way of an accompanying multimedia presentation.

Join us at Agecroft Hall and Gardens on Saturday, November 7th at 1pm for "Unpacking the Crates: A Tudor House Arrives in Jazz-Age Richmond," a special lunchtime tea and lecture by executive director Anne Kenny-Urban (pictured).

In 1926, while America's Jazz Age was in full swing, a Tudor manor house, packed piece by piece into crates, left industrial Salford, England, bound for a new life in Richmond, Virginia. What do the Agecroft archives reveal about this audacious journey?

Enjoy a lively discussion of Christie's classic "The Pale Horse," take a peek inside our English manor, and play Christie-inspired games. As you compete for prizes, nibble on light refreshments and sip on dreadfully delicious mocktails inspired by the works of the Queen of Crime herself!

We've made it to October, which means CultureWorks Richmond's artoberVA is upon us!

Here at Agecroft Hall & Gardens, we're joining in the celebration of arts and culture in the Richmond region by offering FOUR Pay-What-You-Will plein air mornings on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 13, 20, and 27 from 9am-12pm. Come and enjoy this special early access to our gardens and grounds!

Set up your easel, draw in your sketchbook, relax in the shade, take a stroll, or enjoy a picnic. The choice is up to you, but one thing's for certain: a morning spent in nature is a beautiful thing!

Reserve your complimentary ticket ahead of time online or in person at the Agecroft visitor center. Then, in the spirit of "Pay-What-You Will," consider adding a tax-deductible donation in support of Agecroft Hall & Gardens to your transaction.

Art supplies are not provided. In the event of bad weather, the event will be rescheduled. No pets, please.

Tonight at 5:30pm, the Richmond Concert Band performs a special outdoor concert in honor of Agecroft Hall's 100th year on Virginian soil! Come early to picnic and stop by the stands of DuCard Vineyards and S&N Juice Fountain. Don't forget your folding chair or picnic blanket.
