In the Fall of 2010, a group of people concerned about the lack of creative opportunities for children in our community gathered to talk about the possibility of creating a children's museum. Many of these people had visited children's museums in other communities and wanted to create the same for Richmond. At each meeting the group grew and plans began developing. More visits to other children's

museum, extensive research, converstaions with people involved in other musuems convinced us we could also create a place for the positive developmen of children through play.
