Drawing
(adults only)
Monday 6:30pm- 8:30pm
Students will learn drawing fundamentals, form, texture, light and perspective as they apply to landscapes, figures, objects and still lifes, using a variety of techniques. Drawing tools include, graphite, charcoal, pastels and colored pencils. A variety of drawing papers will be explored. Painting

Wednesday 6:30pm- 8:30pm
Students will be taught a variety of painting techniques using acrylic, tempera, gouache, and watercolors. We will explore landscapes, portraits, abstract, and figure painting. Teaching Art History will be a major part of the class exploring the masters in several art periods and movements including impressionism, cubism, expressionism, Rennaissance and Contemporary Art. Students will be taught how to use oil painting techniques to create landscapes, still life, portraits, abstracts, and figures along with learning about the masters in impressionism, cubism, expressionism, and contemporary art periods as well as the renaissance. RDNA’s Lil’ Artists

Children and teens will be taught the fundamentals of art while being provided the opportunity to explore their artistic expression and blossom through painting, drawing, illustration, crafts, water colors and much more. Prices:

The primary goals of RDNA’s art workshops are to introduce adults and youth to the arts and deepen their artistic experience. The RDNA workshops are designed to heighten students’ perceptual ability; expand their understanding of art techniques, structure, form, and observation. Social, Cultural, and historical context from which a work of art is created will be introduced and explored. We will study the choices made by artist which help shape the students’ experience, and actively engage in Perception, Reflection and Discussion. Students will gain practical insights into specific artworks, develop an appreciation for the arts and strengthen core skills such as abstract thinking and problem solving.
