My Story

I am Nancy V. Renaut. I am a native of the Chicagoland area and a traveler of the World. Artistic expression has been a part of my entire life. Every piece I create reflects my inner self. My pieces are around the World. Nate Berkus, Don Knotts and Oprah are few of the individuals who have my pieces. I have always been an animal lover. Being an empath they talk to me. I have a soulful connection with them. Therefore, all of the money I make on the sales of my pieces I donate to the Gentle Barn. They rescue animals from abhorrent situations. They heal both their physical bodies and their souls. They then have the animals help in healing humans. Please check out the work they do at www.Gentlebarn.org.

My father taught me the finer points of oil painting, my grandmother taught me needlework and my mother taught me sewing and cooking. I was fortunate to have attended a school system that offered art electives where I learned to sketch as well as plan and execute my three dimensional paper mache creations. When I saw something interesting it was never “I can’t do that” it was “I’ll do it”.

At the age of 8 I learned piano and at the age of 12 I won the Illinois State Championship for classical piano. I participated in theatrical productions during high school and was accompanist for the choir and musical productions. I was part of a travelling Childrens’ Theatre Group. After graduation from High School I went to Illinois State University where I majored in Theatre - Performing Arts. This was my launching pad to working professionally with the likes of Paul Newman, Robert Redford, and Richard Chamberlain to name a few.

On May 22, 1977, I had a head on crash with a drunk driver. I died and was reborn. Yes, I saw the light and was heading towards it when I was pulled back and was told “I had more to do”. Angels told me that I was to spread their word through my artwork. That is when my artwork changed. I hear their messages and then they guide me as to how to bring it to fruition. First, were my Angels with their messages of Peace, Love, Serenity, Joy and Rejoice.
