Announced on their website: "One of the most iconic aircraft of the Second World War is coming to the 2026 Cold Lake Air Show. The legendary Lockheed P-38L Lightning will take to the skies on July 18 & 19, giving spectators a rare opportunity to see this historic warbird in flight."

This will also mark the final chance to see the Canadian Forces Snowbirds (Canada'a popular air demonstration team) in its present form. Their 1963 aircraft will be transitioning to newer planes after this season.

Super! What a rare opportunity.

Two Flying Bulls aircraft—the Lockheed P-38 Lightning and Douglas DC-6B—will be featured at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026. Both airplanes will be on display at Boeing Plaza and take part in the daily afternoon air shows throughout the weeklong event.
