New York Art Week 2026 is shaping up to be a global celebration of contemporary and modern art, bringing together some of the most influential fairs, galleries, and voices from around the world.
Leading the lineup, Frieze New York returns to The Shed in Hudson Yards from May 13–17 for its 14th edition. With over 65 international galleries, this year’s fair spotlights Latin American art, historic downtown icons, and curated solo presentations in its acclaimed “Frame” and “Spotlight” sections.
At Pier 36, Independent 2026 continues its mission-driven approach, connecting galleries, collectors, and institutions through a thoughtfully curated exhibition model. Since its founding in 2010, Independent has evolved into a key platform for dialogue, research, and collaboration across the global art community.
TEFAF New York takes over the Park Avenue Armory from May 15–19 (with an invitation-only preview on May 14), presenting 90+ world-class galleries. Known for its museum-quality presentation, TEFAF bridges modern and contemporary art with design, jewelry, and antiquities in an immersive, historic setting.
Meanwhile, NADA New York returns for its 12th edition from May 13–17 at the Starrett-Lehigh Building in West Chelsea. Featuring 121 galleries and art spaces from 15 countries and 46 cities, NADA remains a vital platform for emerging voices and experimental practices, with a strong presence of first-time exhibitors.
