Our volunteer luncheon was held on Saturday, April 25th at the museum. We thanked our volunteers for all the good work they have done this past year. We could not have done this without you. A special yellow rose was presented to everyone, which represents friendship.

A scholarship was given to Lucy Fulton, at our luncheon, who is a Mayo High School volunteer for the museum. She will go on to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of MN in Minneapolis.

A good time was had by all.

Photos of large commissions of sculptures have been added to the displays of the small original bronze models in our display case. This helps tell the story of each unique bronze sculpture that Charles E "Chuck" Gagnon created. The timeline for this unique display starts from 1953 - 2012.

During this October 4, which is the Feast of Saint Fransis of Assisi, mama doe gives a personal tour to her two youngins’. The sculpture garden is their home. They explore daily how the bronze sculpture of St Fransis is enjoying the new trees and flowers in his garden.

We would like to send special thanks to Kara Vig for her wonderful design and planting this summer and fall.

Two new service berry trees were planted to the right of the cross. They are suggestions of the “Tree of Life” and the “Tree of Knowledge”.

This sculpture of Saint Fransis is a proud reminder of man’s relationship with nature.

During Chuck's life and career, he created a series of bronze angel sculptures. Today is the Feast of the Guardian Angels. We want to share this beautiful sculpture with you. May your guardian angel be an inspiration for peace, goodness, truth and beauty.

This guardian angel is in the museum. When you take a tour, you will see this beautiful angel in the west gallery.

An additional angel can be found at the entryway and was enlarged for the Saint Olaf Church in the Twin Cities. Two more bronze guardian angels can be discovered in the sculpture garden.
