It’s with a heavy heart that we share the loss of the one and only Roger Carlson. Over the years he’s been the sound, the good vibes, the heartbeat of the Rock Island Artists Market. Rain or shine, hot weather or hotter, he’s entertained us through it all, along with his incredible group of friends. Roger was talented, generous, and one of our favorite parts of every summer. Roger, we can never thank you enough for all of the good times. Rest in peace, friend.

Thank you to everyone who was a part of the Rock Island Artists' Market this season! We appreciate every artist, maker, food vendor and shopper that makes our little market possible.

I'd like to specifically thank the fantastic Roger Carlson and all of his talented musician friends. Roger, you are so incredible, and we can't thank you enough for all of your help and support through the years and for sharing your gifts with us. You are truly the heartbeat, the vibe, the sunshine of the RIAM and we love you dearly!

Another huge thank you to our volunteers, in particular:

Jen - I don't know what I would have done without you this season. Thank you for lightening the load, for your great ideas and incredible work ethic - and for timely infusions of caffeine and Oreo balls. You're one in a million! (And I promise never to repaint the week of the first market again. Probably. 😉)

And Angie - thank you for your endlessly positive attitude, for stepping in and stepping up at every opportunity, and for always going the extra mile. You're both family in every way that counts, and we love you dearly!

Again, thank you to you all. It truly takes a village and we're so glad you're a part of ours.
