Come visit us this weekend! We're open Saturday and Sunday from 1-4pm. We will be closed on Labor Day, September 7th, but we will reopen bright and early on Tuesday, September 8th, at 8am-4:30pm.

Augustana geology majors, Jake Sawin '27, Teddy Bednard '28 and Nico Benvenuto '26 have continued their work in Dr. Kelsey Arkle's paleontology lab preparing triceratops bones for exhibit at the Putnam Museum and Science Center. Through a partnership with Augustana College Geology Department, Augustana's Fryxell Geology Museum, and the Putnam Museum and Science Center, extraordinary opportunities for our students have been created to participate directly in authentic paleontological research with professional paleontologist, Dr. Marcus Eriksen, and Putnam Museum scientists and staff. Last week, Jake and Teddy showcased their work and engaged with Putnam philanthropists at a premier donor circle event.

Six geology majors shared their knowlege and enthusiasm for science with a steady stream of elementary students and their parents at the Rock Island Acadmey Science Fair. Clark Ross '29, Carter Lavold '28, Sonja Illy '28, Isaac Loyo '27, Grace Grafton '27, Tara Armas '27 were incredible Augustana science ambassadors and teachers!
