The weather forecast looks perfect for a Living History event in our Victorian Village this Saturday!

From 10am - 4pm, we are presenting the Camp Fuller Muster, where visitors learn the story of Rockford's Civil War army camp. Quickly built in 1862 on the river in the Churchill Grove neighborhood, this camp was where recruits from Northern Illinois trained to join the Union army.

President Lincoln called for 300,000 volunteers to join the US Army. In Northwest Illinois a mustering camp established here in Rockford. Named after Belvedere resident, General Allen Fuller.

Come see reenactors portray General Fuller, General Grant, General Sherman, and other significant figures July 9th from 10-4 at Midway Village Museum. We look forward to seeing you there!

We are currently looking for only civilian and infantrymen re-enactors. All artillery re-enactors needed for the event have been registered and confirmed (we do have a maximum number of each type of re-enactor we need).
