Our next fundraising event is April 25th from 1-6pm which honors the farm families of our area. Make plans to attend. More details to follow.

On April 25th from 1–6 p.m., the Rockford Area Historical Society—together with Billy’s, Clay’s, and Red Vest—will gather to honor the generations of farm families who built the foundation of our community. Pints for the Past is more than an event; it’s a chance to pause and remember the people whose early mornings, long seasons, and steadfast commitment shaped the character of Rockford, Greenfield, Loretto, and Corcoran.

Each location will feature historical plaques filled with photographs and stories—small windows into the lives of the families who worked this land and quietly held our towns together. We invite you to walk through these memories with us, to raise a glass in gratitude, and to celebrate the heritage that still echoes through our fields and roads today.

As we look back, we also look forward. Please take a moment to watch the beautiful video created by Sarah Bacon, capturing what farm life looks like now on the Kohnen Farm—a reminder that the spirit of our farm families continues, steady and strong.
