Kids Taking Action

Kids Taking Action Let’s cultivate our next generation of young Rockford community leaders! Join us in learning about important community issues and taking action!

Kids Taking Action was developed as a way to get young Rockford area community members involved and improving their community. The goal of the program is to not only create a sense of awareness around important social issues impacting our community, but to develop empathy and empower young people to take action. Even our youngest community members can have the satisfaction and ownership that comes with making a difference.

From analyzing pond water samples to looking for differences between different species aquatic turtles, kids ages 6 to 12 became naturalists is in the kids curriculum and resources. We were so glad to be a part of the science inquiry.
