Join us for Stuff the Trolley on Saturday, July 25 & Sunday, July 26 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM as we help support the wonderful animals waiting for their forever homes at the Huntingdon County Humane Society.

As our thank-you, you'll receive half-price admission for unlimited trolley rides all day!

Recently Rockhill Trolley Museum members Wayne and Eric attended the Angels from Bigfoot Country fundraiser at the Mifflin County Youth Park in Reedsville, Pennsylvania.

Amongst information about York Railways 163 and the museum in general, a display about Lewistown and Reedsville Electric Railway #23 was included to promote local Lewistown history and the restoration of Car 23. An estimated 100+ visitors were provided brochures, postcards, and or verbal information regarding the museum and it's purposes. A Run-A-Trolley gift certificate was also provided for the raffle fundraiser that was taking place during the event.

The duration of the event was scheduled from 10am to 10pm, but most vendors, including our table, departed after 6pm, when foot traffic had dropped significantly. The event was a success and attending additional events at the same location are being considered. Angels from Bigfoot Country is a nonprofit that assists those in the local community and abroad with disaster relief. They are headquartered in Mount Union.

Decades ago, antique cars and historic trolleys routinely shared the city streets. On Saturday, July 11th, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, they share the spotlight at the Rockhill Trolley Museum for our Car Cruise-In & Trolley Rides.

It is the perfect afternoon to admire some classic paint cars, talk shop with fellow auto lovers, and enjoy unlimited historic trolley rides.

Bringing a classic, antique, or show vehicle to display?
To show our appreciation, all show drivers receive a complimentary trolley ride ticket, and their passengers can purchase tickets at half price. Your tickets are good for unlimited rides all afternoon.

Food and drinks will be available to keep you fueled up, and a donation jar will be near the refreshments to support our ongoing museum preservation efforts.

Shine up that chrome, gather the family, and roll on out to 430 Meadow Street in Rockhill Furnace.

Yesterday, June 11, sixty six years ago, Johnstown, PA returned their trolleys to the car barns for the last time, bringing 69 years of electric trolley service to a close.

Nine Johnstown trolley cars were saved, including two preserved by Rockhill Trolley Museum, cars 311 and 355. Both cars have been fully restored and operational.

Visit this weekend to ride a Johnstown trolley and experience the same kind of journey enjoyed by thousands of residents and visitors for almost seven decades.

Rockhill Trolley Museum would like to extend a sincere apology to our valued visitors for an upcoming change to our operating schedule.

Beginning July 1, 2026, East Broad Top Railroad will be operating standard-gauge rail bikes on our trolley line Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday through Sunday from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Due to the change being out of our control, we are required to limit trolley rides to Friday through Sunday with departures at: 12:45 PM, 2:00 PM, 3:15 PM, and 4:30 PM. Museum store hours are being finalized and will be announced as soon as they are updated.

Purchasing trolley tickets can still be done in our museum store or online at rockhilltrolley.org and are valid for unlimited rides on the date they are redeemed. Please note our tickets are no longer available through East Broad Top Railroad at the station or online.

We understand schedule changes can be disappointing, and we sincerely regret any inconveniences. Your continued support is greatly appreciated as our volunteers continue to provide a welcoming and educational visitor experience. We look forward to seeing you this season!

Last Friday, several school groups joined us at the Rockhill Trolley Museum to experience what travel on an electric trolley was like decades ago.

​Electric trolleys once served much the same role as today’s school buses. Before personal cars became common, they were a primary way for people to travel. A field trip to the museum offers students a fun, hands-on opportunity to see this history up close.

Wow, it's hard to believe the 2026 trolley operating season is officially underway!

​Last Saturday, May 2nd, was a spectacular start to our operating season as we ran an expanded schedule for the Friends of the East Broad Top (FEBT) Reunion Weekend.
​Thanks to the generosity of the FEBT and a kind donation from an individual within that group, trolley tickets were included in this year's reunion package. It was a joy to see so many FEBT members riding our cars and enjoying the rails!

​We had an excellent turnout of volunteers to help operate the 13 scheduled trips, plus a few special after hour trips. We operated nine different trolley cars throughout the day. Tours were also offered in our Buehler Restoration Shop showing off the restoration work being accomplished on Rio Open Car 1875 and Chicago Interurban 315 by our dedicated volunteers.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who kept trolleys running and our visitors who shared the day with us.
