I hope everyone is well, as we slide into the festive (and busy) holiday season! I've had my head down trying to finish commission work so I can focus on packaging and shipping gifts. The pictured piece is a commission to commemorate a “Super Grand Slam” in the Seychelles: milkfish, giant trevally, titan triggerfish, and bonefish. As is my usual process, I completed multiple studies for each species before beginning the final piece. Once the piece is complete and shipped, I'll upload a folder with process pictures. Now back to work!

The Gallery is closed until further notice. I hate to close the Gallery at the height of tourist season, but as you may have read on the Karen Talbot Art page, we've had a rough go of it this July and early August. Most recently, our flock of heritage breed ducks was attacked by a mink, and the survivors, after emergency vet visits, are now living in the gallery as we help them heal.

You can, however, see my work right now at Monhegan Boat Line, where I have a show hanging in the upstairs gallery. You can visit anytime they are open, or you can check the Karen Talbot Art page for times when I will be down there to meet with clients, discuss my work or simply say "Hi." Plan to make an afternoon of it with lunch at the The Dip Net Restaurant, a tour of my show, and a walk out to Marshall Point Lighthouse. You can even stop into Port Clyde Fresh Catch to buy fish or crab for your dinner!

Unfortunately, I returned with more than just good memories from my conference. The Gallery will NOT be open today (Monday). I'm so sorry.

The Gallery is open today until about 2:30. I'm delayed on my return from my conference, but Ret Talbot is there. I will then have the Gallery open tomorrow (Monday) and Tuesday from 10 to 5. The Gallery will then be closed next weekend but open Monday again. Then it's Maine Lobster Festival! How is it almost already August?!

The Karen Talbot Art Gallery is open today (Saturday) until 5pm. The Gallery will.be closed tomorrow and all.next week, as I will.be presenting at the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators national conference. The Gallery will re-open next Sunday. I look forward to seeing you! While I'm away, you can head down to Monhegan Boat Line in Port Clyde to see my show that is hanging there. All the pieces hanging are for sale. See you soon!

The Karen Talbot Art Gallery is open today (Friday) until 5. I will be open tomorrow but not Sunday this week, as I'm off to the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators conference for the week. The Gallery will re-open Sunday the 20th.

Apologies for opening late yesterday. Ella Pickle has not been feeling her best, but we have the best vet in Dr. Daggett at Rockland Animal Hospital! The Gallery will be open around 10am this morning and tomorrow (Saturday) morning. I'll then be away for a week at the Guild of Natural Science Illustrators conference. The Gallery will then reopen next Sunday.
