Voting starts on June 8th and continues until June 22nd. Each yard will have a QR code near the project so that community members can vote.

Please apply here by May 22, 2026. - Entry date extended.

Contest Requirements:

1. You must be a Roeland Park resident, families in surrounding communities can also work with you.

2. You must have an original creation.

3. Your artwork must be creative and aesthetically pleasing.

4. You can use any materials to create your project.

The Roeland Park Arts Advisory Committee (AAC), on behalf of the City of Roeland Park, Kansas is seeking proposals from qualified artists to create an original 2D work of art. The work of art should represent the culture, character and community of the city, to commemorate the City of Roeland Park 75th Anniversary. The selected picture will be permanently displayed at the Roeland Park City Hall as remembrance of the city’s 75th Anniversary. Click the link below for more details.

Applications open
Roster Artist Applications Are Open
The Kansas Arts Commission is now accepting applications to be included on its Touring Roster and Public Art & Muralist Roster, which aims to connect Kansas-based artists with communities across the state.

• Touring Roster: For performing, literary, film, and visual artists with touring experience. Artists set their own fees and may offer workshops, residencies, and more. Must be willing to travel 60+ miles from home.

• Public Art & Muralist Roster: For artists with a strong record of community-engaged public art. Includes opportunities for education and travel.

Roster artists also gain access to networking events and peer support.

Open to Kansas-based individuals, nonprofits, university programs, and for-profit groups in any artistic discipline.

Apply by Friday, October 31.
