Got some oddities lying around the house? Don't throw them out—donate them to The Kaleidoscope Discovery Center and help us power an unforgettable summer of STEM camp! 🧪🎨

We are turning everyday items into extraordinary science and art experiments. Before you do your summer cleaning, check your cupboards for these specific treasures:

🪙 Pennies: We need these for weights in our engineering builds! (Time to empty that piggy bank or couch cushion).

🖍️ Old/Broken Crayons: Don't toss those stubs! We’re melting them down for some awesome art camp masterpieces.

📰 Newspapers: Perfect for our paper-mâché creations and structural engineering challenges.

🥗 Salad Spinners: Yes, really! We’re using them for spin art to explore the mind-blowing physics of centripetal force.

📍 How to Drop Off:
You can drop your donations off at KDC 609 N. Rolla Street in Rolla MO anytime during our regular summer camp hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.

The Show-Me Less Plastic Team is pleased to launch Plastic Free July: A Missouri Business Challenge! This voluntary program celebrates July as Missouri’s Lakes Appreciation Month and provides businesses across the state with an opportunity to try at least one plastic-reducing practice during the month of July.

Excited for this group to be in town! As many as 6000 cars between 10 am - 3 pm. Kaleidoscope parents: Rolla Street is closed, please use our parking lot entrance on the west side of 6th Street!

The Chevrolet Performance HOT ROD Power Tour is rolling into Rolla on Thursday, June 11, bringing thousands of classic cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and automotive enthusiasts from across the country for a special Route 66 Centennial celebration. Rolla has been selected as an official pit stop on this year's tour!

We expect vehicles to travel through our area from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Participants will travel portions of the original Route 66 through Rolla, entering from the north on U.S. 63 to Kingshighway and exiting out Martin Springs Drive. The official pit stop parking area for Hot Rod registered cars, will be located downtown along Rolla Street, adjacent side streets, and designated parking lots in the downtown area. Hot Rod fans, followers and spectators are asked to use the designated spectator parking.

Using ideas from the Future City program, campers will:
