Wisteria Wednesday is looking good. We’ve had some beautiful weather up here and things are moving along- still no blooms but more leaves. This morning we were greeted with the calls of a catbird, Cardinal, cedar waxwing and even a blackbird amongst other feathered friends. Take a look at the arbor and enjoy the chorus from our morning visitors.

Wisteria Wednesday is looking a little greener this week. We’ve decided that it’s just taking its time this year. Hopefully since we’re through the last risk of frost, it will take right off! Come out and see the mock orange, fringe tree or the foxglove coming into bloom.

On this we’d like to report…nothing…no changes. Not a thing. We did have a frost on Monday night but there doesn’t appear to be any damage. We’ve got the Carolina sweet shrub and the Guelder-rose viburnum blooming and our fringe tree is *just* starting to show buds. Maybe we’ll have a June-blooming wisteria?

A late but we made it! Still not much happening and the lone bloom is still hanging on. We’re down into the low 40s over night still so we shall see if warmer weather brings more blooms soon or it’s been spooked and doesn’t want to do a thing!

Well our weather here (much like everywhere else) has been ALL over the place. With freezes and frosts expected for the next few nights, we have been carefully watching our wisteria. There are a few leaves- and ONE single bloom in the middle of nowhere. We will update weekly as to where it’s at and hopefully soon we’ll be posting photos of its beautiful blooms. For now, here’s a peek at where we stand today.
