Opening Day! We had 21 visitors stop by yesterday.

New this season is a model of the mill built by Ken Nissley. It features a cutout view to the interior of the mill and has working machinery! We hope this will help people be able to have a broader vision of the operation of the mill beyond just the first floor. The 2026 season opens on May 1.

New for 2026! We will be open for large groups (20+) on Mondays. Register your group at least two weeks in advance by sending a message to [email protected]. There will be a morning tour from 10-12 and an afternoon tour from 1-3. We will not be able to accommodate large groups during general admission Tuesday through Saturday.

We are looking forward to opening a new season next month! The mill and house will be open for tours beginning on Friday, May 1 from 10:00 - 4:00. There will be some new treats in store this year!

This is the last week to visit the mill and house this season! Friday is the last day we will be open this year. We will reopen next year in May.

Santa came to visit the mill on Saturday! Seen here with mill guide, Penny Lyba, he wanted to see who was naughty or nice. He was an attendee at the Lancaster Santa Gathering. (Penny made it on to the "nice" list.)😉

The turbine is back in operation! The conditions were favorable at last to reinstall the turbine that had been removed to be refurbished. Now we can run the roller mills during the mill tour once again. This photo shows the turbine as it was being moved into its place at the bottom of the penstock, which had been drained of water for the task.

After 118 years of operation, one of the water turbines at the Ressler Mill needed to be refurbished. The attached blog post describes the process to remove the turbine and rebuild it.
The turbine is scheduled to be reinstalled later in July.
