Many thanks to Randy Hester for our tour of the Shorty Lawson Museum. And to Steve Hester for coordinating the tour for our Historical Society. It was a wonderful tour and very informative about farming in Person County, especially the black and tenant farmers.

Join the Library of NC’s Government and Heritage Library and the State Archives of North Carolina on May 9th for a Community Scanning Day! Bring your family photographs, letters, and historical documents to be digitized for free with assistance from library and archives staff.

Our Heritage Books, Vol. 1 & 3 are always available for purchase at the Person County Museum of History at 309 N. Main St.
Vol. 1 is $50 and Vol. 3 is $25.
The museum hours are:
Wednesday 10:00-4:00
Thursday 10:00-4:00
Friday 10:00-4:00
