I did not have any proportional measurements for sculpting a yearling heifer (my first time sculpting a bovine). I figured out how to use measurements from a picture and looking at my cattle. I think it turned ok and pretty accurate. My Dad always told me “Figure It Out”. I guess I did Eventhough it took me forever and was rather frustrating.

A few sneak peaks of my recent sculpture. “Grit & Grace”. I am unable to show the full sculpture at this time as it is a commissioned piece, my client will gift the finished bronze to his wife for their anniversary❤️. I will share pictures of the finished bronze casting after delivery to my client.

Working on a sculpture for a customer. This is a difficult and huge undertaking for me as I have not sculpted a bovine yet, let alone one in action with a horse and rider. Still in the very rough stages and working out getting proportions correct, sizes correct, gesture (movement) correct, with horse and heifer before adding rider. Learning as I go.
