Right outside the historic Russellville Train Depot sits this little pink box. While it may look like a fun newspaper stand, it’s actually much more. It functions as a small food pantry, available to anyone at any time.

We know times are tough right now, so we wanted to highlight this small but valuable community resource. We are always accepting donations to keep it filled. You can drop items off at the Train Depot Monday–Friday from 9–5, or, if there’s room, feel free to stock it yourself.

As the sunlight peeks through the Depot, it makes some of us wonder what it was like all those years ago. The golden rays illuminate the history and memories embedded in these walls, keeping us connected to a time gone by. Built in 1916, it’s a beautiful piece of history in the heart of the city! 🌅🚂

Are you prepared for the Solar Eclipse on April 8th, 2024?

Keep an eye out for tips and tricks every Monday on how to enjoy this amazing event as well as be aware of the risks that come with it.

Get groceries and gas at least a week in advance of the actual eclipse. Most tourists will be here 5 days before the eclipse and leave afterwards, meaning we can potentially run out of gas to sell & food products as well.

For cell-phone service, be prepared for limited range of function due to the influx of people coming in. Despite the cellular companies boosting signals, it may not be enough to make it work well.

We are continuing our Whacky Wednesday series with another excerpt from Railroad Fever by Wayne Erbsen.

You can see the cost of menu items on the Pullman Palace car as well as a short funny story.

You can also see what "Whistle Talk" means and how they used it like Morse code to indicate certain messages.
