This was a great big blessing in my life. After my husband passed away in 1985 my family pulled together everything it took to build this house for Matt and me. There were people from most of the churches in Morgan County and some from Newton County that all came together on a Saturday and framed it up completely as Others had already laid the foundation. Fourteen women came and spread a terrific lunch. It is truly a God blessed house. It is now for sale! I needed to downsize and move to Madison but I will never forget the blessings that came to us while living in this house. One day I was thinking about how I would make a living for Matt and me. To use the phrase his dad always used, said” it will all work out. I felt GOD whisper loudly to me, “I have people, places and things that you don’t even know about and I WILL take care of you!”Do you think God has done this? O, yes! He has never failed to do it by using places, people and things that I didn’t know about . I never missed a payment. God made a way. My faith was not very strong at times but I never forgot how HE spoke HIS promise to me. Now my family and I are trusting HIM to bring a buyer that will love this God blessed house,♥️By the way, Shades of Country is what I named my painting business but The BillAlexanders were so blessed to have this home.
