SHS trustees Susan and Peggy, with some help from library staff, have completed putting together a notebook collection of the community newsletter "In and Around Sabina Town" that was published bi-monthly from December 2011 - December 2022 by editor Susanne Kenney. The newsletter was printed and distributed around the village of Sabina by volunteers up until mid-2020 when it was moved online (hosted by the Sabina Public Library website). Over 200 issues of this newsletter were created; resulting in four volumes of notebooks. One set will be kept in the genealogy room of the Sabina Library while a second set will be kept at our historical museum.

We did run into one problem with this project. We are missing a copy of the final issue which would have been online in November/December of 2022. Can anyone help complete our sets by producing this missing issue?

We plan on being here from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Membership forms will be available if you know anyone who would like to support us.

📣 Help Us Spread the Word! 📣

One of the biggest challenges we face as a village is making sure everyone knows what’s happening in our community. While we share information on Facebook and post around town, we know that not everyone uses the internet or social media.

That’s where you can help!

If you see an event posted, please consider sharing it on your page, telling your neighbors, mentioning it at work or church, or even printing this flyer to hang on a community bulletin board if you’re able. A simple share or conversation can help ensure that more families hear about the opportunities available right here in Sabina.

We want every resident to have the chance to enjoy events like National Night Out, meet their neighbors, connect with our first responders, and make lasting memories together.

Thank you for helping us reach every corner of our community. Together, we can make sure no one misses out! ❤️💙🇺🇸

SHS trustee Peggy Dunn is working to put together two binders with photos and news clippings of the 250th birthday of America as celebrated in Clinton County. One binder will be kept at the museum and a second one at the Sabina Public Library for viewing. We can use some help gathering related news clippings. If you have any past issues (especially from June/July) of The Connector (News Journal) that you don't want, please drop them off at the Sabina Public Library for Peggy. Thanks for your help.

We were so pleased to be one of the stops on yesterday's history walk for the three Sabina Elementary School third grade classes. Students were very well behaved and curious to learn about the history of Sabina as they toured our museum. We enjoyed sharing our exhibits and allowing some hands-on experience with a rotary phone and a manual typewriter.

Appointments to see our upstairs museum can be scheduled with any trustee.
