S**o Museum is pleased to join Museums for All, a signature access program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services, administered by the Association of Children’s Museums. The program encourages people of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum-going habits. Under this program, those receiving food assistance (SNAP) benefits can visit S**o Museum free of charge, with the presentation of a SNAP Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. Similar free and reduced admission is available to eligible members of the public at more than 1,350 museums across the country. Museums for All is part of our broad commitment to seek, include, and welcome all!

Join us on June 6 for Rainbow Saturday, a joyful celebration of LGBTQ+ history, community, and connection. This intergenerational ice cream social brings people of all ages together to share stories, build relationships, and honor both the past and present.

Enjoy a family story time, craft, and ice cream! We're gathering for meaningful conversations and connections with q***r youth and elders in a welcoming, inclusive space. Kids (and adults, too!) can also create Cardboard Rainbow Collages using recycled materials and mixed media.

Come for the ice cream, stay for the community!

Update: we've just learned that this year the Color Run will be FREE for all participants! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

We are thrilled to be participating in S**o Main Street's Pride in the Park again this year! On Saturday, May 30th from 12-4 PM we'll be manning a color station with our library friends from Biddeford and OOB, and celebrating all our LGTBQIA+ community at the DLSM table. Have you visited “Art in Nature: S**o Student Art Show” at S**o Museum yet? A vibrant, joyful experience awaits you! The exhibit showcases student art from PreK through 8th grade in a wide variety of mediums, including painting, ceramics, cyanotype, pencil, collage, and much more. You’ll be impressed by the talent on display! “Art in Nature” runs through May 29.

While the S**o Museum is closed on Mondays, your Dyer Library/S**o Museum card gives you access to a number of passes and discounts at museums and parks in our area, like the Seashore Trolley Museum, Children's Museum of Maine, and new this year, Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth, NH! Please contact the Circulation Desk to learn more and reserve a pass.
