Sacramento Rock & Radio Museum The Museum is open on Second Saturday from April to October 6P-9P. Special tours may be arranged by emailing [email protected].

The Sacramento Rock and Radio Museum houses rock and radio posters, artwork, calendars, and photographs of music events that have taken place over the past 40 years in Sacramento. Admission is free and donations of all sizes are encouraged!

The Sacramento Rock and Radio Museum collection has found a permanent home at the CSUS Special Collections Library. The people there are VERY excited about all the possibilities. There will be exhibits from the collection at various locations around town. Watch for announcements. Plus, the pieces will be properly cared for and preserved. And, CSUS students can help make the collection grow as it tells the unending tale about music in Sacramento and Davis.

We might need a new home! The Museum is looking for a space not too far from the core Sacramento area where we can exist on the walls of a sympathetic business, or in a space provided to us as a non-profit. We also can't be too sun-lit. Any ideas or offers would be appreciated. Big, upstairs backrooms would be considered. At this time, our future at 911 20th Street is up in the air. AND, we have two special guests, Marti Smiley Childs, and Jeff March, who are bringing all their books to sign and sell. Come by from 6-9 and check out the books and the Museum collection.

The Museum will hibernate while we frame up and integrate some of the cool items we've acquired over the last few months. But, don't forget that we might be able to arrange a tour for a reasonable donation. And, we'd love to host your private event!

Many people came by and talked about the launch of Sacramento's K-ZAP. Lots of folks happy it's back. Come by August 8th and check out the latest in the collection dating back to 1957 and including items from this year.
