Studio T Crafting stained glass pieces for more than twenty years: I like to play with glass and metal. I cannot remember when I didn't find pleasure in making things.

Professionally, I cast precious and semi-precious metals and built dental veneers in a laboratory. I think the desire for a more freeing sort of creativity was what prompted me to explore stained glass. That was twenty-five years ago. I loved the process. I did it as often as possible, eventually being encouraged to set up a table at local crafts shows in Chester County, Pennsylvania. As time went

on, I was asked to make more and more stained glass pieces, among them being a beautiful commemorative medallion for a church in Philadelphia. To follow my passion for stained glass and the pleasure it brings my clients is my joy, while evoking the wonder, awe, and beauty of our Creator is my desire.

Today has the feel and sound ( tap tap tap ) of long ago days when artisans made structures from marble and windows from hand poured glass or vessels from creamy clay - all materials provided by mother earth, then works of art brought into being by mindful humans.

One done, two to go. It’s a fit check too. Making sure I got the pattern size correct, plus it tells me, ‘keep going’. Seems to be my mantra these days. What’s yours?

Done for the day. How about you?

Rainy day vibes. Calm. I love these days. Jazz spinning. The daily grind can indicate monotonous toil, but it could also mean something you do that is repetitive, skillful, and bursting with satisfaction for a job well done. What’s your daily grind?

Light differences are a colossal component when working with glass. I use a light box to assist seeing approximate light enhancements. This is the first panel in a window tryptic, with the bamboo stems still needing to be cut - that’s the brown glass. Oceana is a favorite glass to work with. It scores and breaks relatively easily considering its mottled texture.
