Reminder to all St. Johns County Residents!

The First Colony: Our Spanish Origins exhibit is free of charge (to St. Johns County Residents) every Thursday leading up to the 450th celebration of the founding of St. Augustine.

The First Colony, put together by the University of Florida, is a comprehensive exhibit covering St. Augustine's origins. Visitors can test their strength with a cannon ball lift and examine actual colonial gold and silver. Interactive tablets throughout the exhibit allows visitors to learn about different aspects of the first settlers life, including religious influence, protection and armory, and life with the natives. Numerous artifacts and an interactive multimedia centerpiece allow visitors to see and be the archaeologists.

This and more allow the viewer to get an overview on the significance of The Nations Oldest City in preparation for the 450th Celebration.
This bilingual (offered in Spanish) exhibit is located in downtown St. Augustine's Government House (48 King St., St. Augustine, FL 32084), open 7 days a week from 10am- 5pm, and will be showing through till September 2015.
Come and appreciate what it means to belong to the Nations Oldest City.
