The Historic Totem Village

The Historic Totem Village Trading Post opened in Spring 2017 offering a wide variety of Gifts and Native American Crafts Exciting times ahead ! Chi Megwiich

A place for Authentic American Indian arts and crafts, as well as other great local and regional artists, We fully support the indigenous artists from around the world also such as Central America, South America, Nepal, and India. Future plans include a music venue, with native storytellers, musicians, as well as classes such as drum making, Alchemy of art classes, basket weaving, regalia making.

Our in store inventory is changing daily with many new items coming in. The old zoo site will be changing to an interpretive and interactive tour site featuring an authentic Odawa village, as well as representations of other indigenous nations. Plans also include guided tours through our beautiful local natural sites .

We are open now with limited hours , I am in town you can always call me and i will come open up for you!
Celebrating owning the store now for 10 years, i purchased the store back in 2016 from Nancy Duberville . She has shown excellent support for me and made this restoration of the store possible, i am grateful for her trust in me.

We have an art show opening July 18th , We have our Powwow the third weekend in August. Vendors please get in touch with me , We are looking for indigenous artists, crafter's for the art show at the powwow. Which will be held at the Little Bear arena again this year.

All the crazy news ,gas prices, food prices, wars, tell us one thing is that we can do a better job for ourselves and each other , Support local businesses , lets build a community that works for us , not a couple insanely rich guys ! Question everything whats in our foods , what is in our cleaning products, personal care items, our very clothing we wear!

Lets start holding our political leaders accountable , it is time for them to know they work for us not lobbyists, not big corporations that do not care about you at all.

Lets have a great summer , enjoy our beautiful Yooperland !
Aho Chi megwiich ! Love to all Ron
