It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jenny McCampbell, a founding member of the Clinton County Arts Council, on December 14, 2024.

Jenny’s vision and dedication to the arts helped shape our organization from the very beginning. Alongside her husband, Gary, and Bill Richards, she worked tirelessly to create opportunities for creativity and community in Clinton County. Her contributions, including the creation of the Japanese garden in St. Johns and her work with the Michigan-Shiga exchange program, have left an indelible mark.

Jenny’s passion, warmth, and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire. Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held at the McGeehan Funeral Home in St. Johns on Wednesday, December 18 from 10am-2pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Clinton County Arts Council or the Southern Sudan Healthcare Organization in her honor.

Still really hoping to find a loving home for my piano ASAP! She is such a beautiful Piano and deserves another loving home. Please share this with anyone who might have an idea of where she can go. The movers are bringing my piano on Saturday and I am getting very stressed out!

We are looking for people to help give tours of our incredible railcars and the depot! We are open on Sundays from 1pm-3pm, usually May-October, though this year we will not open until June. WE have some incredible volunteers who will teach you everything you need to know! It is a lot of fun and a wonderful way to learn about history and getting to know people you may never get the chance to meet otherwise.

While we normally open the first weekend in May, we will be delaying our opening until the first Sunday in June. With the Covid numbers the way they are, we want to make sure we are keeping our incredible volunteers safe as well as our amazing visitors. We look forward to seeing all of you at the beginning of June! Stay safe!!!
