Looking to take a beautiful walk down to the Patuxent this weekend? Come down to Peterson Point Pier and tour the Mildred Belle!

Tours are free and are offered by the crew of the Mildred Belle. These are dockside tours only. Tours may not occur in inclement weather.

NOTE: Parking will be at the most southern part of the site. Please follow signage for the MAC Lab and continue past the MAC Lab to the RED parking lot.

MILDRED BELLE is an authentic Chesapeake Bay “buyboat”. Buyboats are an important part of the Bay economy. They serve as “middlemen” on the bay, purchasing fish, crabs, and oysters directly from fishing vessels working under sail and then transporting the catch to market. This allows the sailing fleet to continue to work.

Join us at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum on Saturday, October 31, at 11:00 A.M. or 1:00 P.M. for a stroll filled with spooky stories, local legends, and a chance to share a few tales of your own!
