Built by Joe Pavek, our very own spark gap transmitter, affectionately nicknamed "Sparky," will come to life at Member Night.

Get ready to explore the science, technology, engineering, and art behind broadcasting! Join us for S.T.E.A.M. Saturday: Broadcasting Day at the Pavek Museum of Electronic Communication.

Enjoy interactive activities, go live on air at KPAV (the Museum’s radio station), and connect with community partners like WFNU Frogtown Radio and 3M Visiting Wizards.

Join us Saturday, June 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.! S.T.E.A.M Saturday is included with regular admission for adults and is free for students under 18 and museum members. RSVP is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome!

Want an even more hands-on experience? Try our It Takes Two add-on class! Build a Light-Up Paper Circuit kit from Brown Dog Gadgets, create glowing projects, and explore circuitry together—then take your kit home.

The class is $30 per pair and includes the take-home kit and any supplies or tools needed. Sessions are at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., with registration recommended due to limited walk-up availability. Best for ages 10 and up.
