Do you love history and connecting with people? We’re looking for volunteers at St. Michaels Museum, and we’d love to have you join us!

Whether you’d like to lead walking tours as a Tour Guide or greet visitors as a Docent, these roles are a fantastic way to share the stories of our town, meet people from near and far, and dive deeper into St. Michaels’ rich past.

No experience? That’s totally fine! We’ll make sure you’re trained and supported. The best part? Scheduling is flexible, so you can find a time that works for you.

Your History Adventure Starts May 2nd
Step into the past this spring at St. Michaels Museum! Opening Day is coming up on Saturday, May 2nd, and we’re kicking off the season in the best way possible: with FREE admission from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Explore local history, join a walking tour (Saturdays at 10 AM!), and connect with the rich heritage of St. Michaels—it’s the perfect way to spend a day on the Eastern Shore.
Starting Friday, May 8th, you can visit us every weekend through October:

Opening Day for the 2025 Season is Saturday, May 3" from 10 am - 4 pm.

Please stop by to see us, admission to the museum is free for all visitors.

Starting Friday, May 9", the museum is open every Friday through Sunday (May-October).
Hours:Fridays 1-4 pm , Saturdays 10-4 pm (walking tours each Saturday at 10 am), Sundays 1-4 pm

Just a reminder that our Annual Meeting is this Sunday, May 4th from 2-4 pm.

🎈 Children’s Parade Starts at 10 AM!
Dress in your patriotic best! Kids, bikes, tricycles, wagons, and even pets are welcome to join the fun!

🎤 Patriotic Program Begins at 11 AM
• Flag Raising & Pledge by Boy Scout Troop 741
• Music by the Royal Oak Musicians
• Keynote Speaker: Pete Lesher – “A New Birth of Freedom.”

🎪 Family Fun:
• Magician John Dodge
• The Fish Mobile
• Refreshments provided by St. Michaels Fire Department & Boy Scout Troop 741

🚶 Parade Route:
Starts at St. Michaels Museum, loops through town, and ends back at the museum.

🏛️ Museum Open House:
Visit ‘The Hambletons of Martingham and Perry Cabin’ exhibit — FREE admission during the celebration!
