What does one do at a Regency Tea, you ask?

One arrives. One is charmed. One sips something warm and lovely while wandering the historic grounds of Newell Pioneer Village. One enjoys finger sandwiches, sweet treats, and two hours that feel nothing like the modern world.

Regency-inspired attire is encouraged, but all are welcome, dressed however their heart desires.

Saturday, June 13th | 1–3 p.m. | $35/ticket | πŸ”—

Founders Day 2026 at Newell Pioneer Village was filled with sunshine, community, and some seriously delicious chili. Thank you to everyone who came out to walk the grounds, take in the living history, and be part of this special annual tradition.

Our Chili Cook-off brought some fierce (and flavorful!) competition this year. After many, many tasting cups β€” here are your 2026 winners:

πŸ₯‡ First Place: Sons of the American Revolution (chili by Greg Leo) β€” "The Shot Heard Around the World"
πŸ₯ˆ Second Place: Bill Brauer
πŸ₯‰ Third Place: Christina Leder

Congratulations to our winners, and a huge thank you to ALL of our chili makers for bringing the heat!

This event would not be possible without our incredible volunteers, including the Belle Passi Chapter for helping with setup. Your time and dedication mean the world to this little museum and the history we work to preserve. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. πŸ’›

Here's to another year of honoring the 1843 vote that shaped the Pacific Northwest. See you next time!
