For over 135 years, Schubert Club has invited the world’s most outstanding soloists and chamber ensembles to the Twin Cities, and has promoted the finest musical talents of our community through performances, education, and museum programs. Schubert Club has secured a prominent and distinguished reputation among musical organizations nationwide, and is one of the first arts organizations in the co
untry. Schubert Club’s International Artist Series has presented virtually all of the world’s great recitalists including Arthur Rubinstein, Cecilia Bartoli, Beverly Sills, Leontyne Price, Yo-Yo Ma, Joshua Bell, and Renée Fleming to name a few. In 2014, Schubert Club introduced Schubert Club Mix, its convention-breaking performance series in nontraditional venues. Additional series include the Music in the Park Series, which presents chamber music in the St. Anthony Park neighborhood, a free weekly lunchtime Courtroom Concert series at the Landmark Center in downtown St. Paul, and Accordo, the beloved chamber ensemble made up of current and former musicians of the Minnesota Orchestra and the SPCO. Our education programs provide students with free music lessons, offer opportunities to take master classes with visiting musicians, commission new works by American composers, and award more than $50,000 annually in student scholarships. The newly renovated Schubert Club Music Museum holds a world-class collection comprised of over 100 historic keyboards, hundreds of instruments from around the world and letters and manuscripts of over 100 famous composers. Admission is free and open to the public serving thousands of visitors and student groups annually. The Museum and administrative offices are located in the historic Landmark Center in downtown Saint Paul. The building is located on the north end of Saint Paul's Rice Park that also includes the Saint Paul Hotel, Saint Paul Public Library, and Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. The Schubert Club is also a member of Arts Partnership along with The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, The Minnesota Opera and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.
