Welcome to The Space Between, where it's not just art or a tattoo, it's a co-creative experience!

Owner and Artist David Charlton, also known as Top Hat Dave, is an extensively accomplished mixed media entrepreneur. With over ten years of experience, David has developed a devoted clientele throughout the United States. His home base studio, The Space Between, is located in the center of the renown St. Petersburg Art District on the West Coast of Florida.

At The Space Between, we believe in offering a zen environment for clientele to fully submerse into their personal appointment. Each individuals needs will be met with the utmost care and attention to detail. Clientele are offered private consultations and custom imagery arrangements to ensure they have an exclusive experience, that will last a lifetime.

The Space Between’s private art gallery boasts a lavish opportunity for both enthusiasts and established collectors alike, to view original creations, while also hosting elite promotional showcases. David Charlton combines his studies and knowledge of Fine Arts with a Surrealist Street Art twist, to create his original style. All Fine Art and Mural works are created with Montana Spray Cans, and absolutely no stencils. Private showings of the art gallery can be arranged by appointment only, or join us every second Saturday of the Month for Art Walk, hosted by The St. Pete Art Alliance.
