🛸📽️NeXuS & Chill Movie Nights Presents🎫📹 TMRW: 4/14 10pm-12am

👁️They Live (1988) is a cult-classic sci-fi satire directed by John Carpenter. It follows Nada, a homeless drifter who discovers special sunglasses revealing that the ruling class are actually skull-faced aliens manipulating humanity through subliminal messages to "Consume" and "Obey". Nada joins a resistance to fight back against this oppressive, consumer-driven alien occupation. It is similar to the concept of George Orwell's: 1984. Since it's making, "Obey" has become a worldwide symbol in hip hop/ pop culture. 🦾

🌙Moonrise Kingdom (2012) is a Wes Anderson-directed romantic coming-of-age drama about two 12-year-old misfits, Sam and Suzy, who fall in love and run away together on a New England island in 1965. As the community searches for them, the film explores themes of young love, loneliness, and the desire for belonging, all while a storm approaches. It is a witty comedy with amazing cinematography, acting, set design and script writing. It features many renowned actors like Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Jason Schwartzman, etc. 📹🎫

It follows William Miller, a 15-year-old aspiring music journalist in 1973 who lands an assignment from Rolling Stone magazine to tour with an up-and-coming rock band named Stillwater. The film captures his journey, covering themes of innocence, friendship, and the chaotic, transformative world of 1970s rock 'n' roll. 🎸🥁📻

EARLY SPECIAL FOR KIDS 9pm-11pm 🎟️NeXuS & Chill Movie Nights🎫 Presents: The NeverEnding Story is a 1984 epic fantasy film based on the novel of the same name by Michael Ende, about a boy in the real world who reads a magical book that tells a story of a young warrior whose task is to stop a dark force called the Nothing from engulfing a mystical world.

It follows Bastian Balthazar Bux, a lonely boy who steals the magical book and reads about Fantasia, a fantasy world being destroyed by "The Nothing". Bastian follows the warrior Atreyu’s quest to save the Childlike Empress, eventually realizing his own imagination is required to save the world.

The Puppetry, costume design and set design are extravagant and visually stunning. This film is known as a childhood favorite by many and a well-known cult classic.🎞️📹
