Dear God,
I'm having a blast at camp, and I had a moment of clarity that I thought you'd enjoy hearing about. I've discovered that I really like water! Who would have thought? We made the most amazing lemonade with just lemons, sugar, and water - it was delicious. One of the girls from West Georgia had a bag of peanuts, and we boiled them in water for a fantastic snack. The cold running water in the creek by our camp was perfect for keeping our drinks chilled on hot days. And swimming out to the dock in the middle of the lake has been a highlight for everyone. But, the best part is that I've realized I don't need to keep going to camp or visiting the mountains anymore to find happiness. I've learned that what I need most is right at home on the island. I can't wait to get there and dive into my favorite kind of water - saltwater! It's all I'll ever need.

When I was a high schooler, all I had to do for the new pocketbook of my dreams was give Granny some puppy eyes, and she'd tell me off to Altmans. She always said, "Time ta robb Peter tuh pay Paul." Now that I'm a granny. I get why mothers (and their mamas) have gotta go above and beyond sometimes! Every summer Mother Nature sweeps in with her golden light and moves our season's forward - like robbing Summer so Fall can come alive; nature sure knows howta keep this world spinnin'.

Memories of my grandmother's cottage never fail to fill me with warmth.
